This list (like any list) is incomplete.  Here I focus on those conferences
of particular concern to me in my own work.


Graphics Conferences
ACM SIGGRAPH: 02, 03
The premier annual conference in computer graphics.  Held in July or August.  Deadline usually end January. Old conferences: 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, 01.
Eurographics: 01, 02, 03
    The premier international venue for computer graphics.  Held in August or September.  Deadline usually end January.
IEEE Visualization: 01, 02, 03
Large and focused on computer graphics for visualization.  Held in October or November.  Deadline usually late March.
ACM I3DG - Interactive 3D Graphics: 99, 01, 03
Biannual conference with an interactive focus.  Held in March or April.  Deadline around September/October.
Graphics Interface: 02, 03
Canadian graphics/HCI conference.  The longest active computer graphics conference.  Held annually in May or June.  Deadline usually Nov/Dec.
EGSR - Eurographics Symposium on Rendering: 03
European conference on rendering techniques. Held annually in June. Deadline usually early April.
NPAR - Nonphotorealistic Anim. & Rendering: 02, 03
European conference, focused on NPR techniques. Held annually in June, deadline typically in November.
PacGraph - Pacific Graphics: 03
Asian conference. Held annually in October. Upcoming deadline: abstracts April 30, papers May 5.

 
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Conferences
ACM CHI - Computer-Human Interaction: 03
The premier HCI conference.  Held annually in April or May.  Deadline typically September. Old conferences: 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02
Note 95-97 have html papers.
ACM UIST - User Interface Software Technology: 01, 02, 03
    An HCI conference with a more nuts and bolts orientation.  Held annually in October or November.  Paper deadline: typically in April or May.
ACM IUI - Intelligent User Interfaces: 01, 02, 03
    An annual conference on the convergence of HCI and AI.  Held annually in January.  Paper deadline: typically in October.
IEEE Information Visualization: 00, 01, 02
An annual symposium held in concert with the IEEE Visualization conference, annually in October or November.  Focuses on visualization of non-scientific data.  Paper deadline: typically March.

 
Virtual Reality (VR) Conferences
IEEE VR: 01, 02, 03, 04
    The premier VR conference.  Held annually in March. I will chair in 2004! Deadline in early September.
ACM VRST - Virtual Reality Software and Technology: 01, 02, 03
    A more international VR conference. Upcoming conference in October. Deadline: May 6.
